Chironne

In an exceptional and very aerial environment overlooking the Diois, the Via Ferrata de Chironne invites you to discover the vertical environment. Rated difficult, you can travel it independently or call on professional supervision.

The route is made up of 4 very distinct sections.
- The candle begins to the right of the Chironne climbing school. After climbing a large slab, a dihedral leads you to the candle gap. An easier variation with an escape route is possible by climbing the left wall.
- The rooftop crossing is the most impressive section of the route. This section features numerous athletic and dizzying overhangs and leads to the large ledge.
- The large ledge is also accessible by the candle. A cable path leads to the exit of the rooftop crossing (magnificent viewpoint over the Diois region). This narrow and aerial passage leads you to the last ledge.
- The exit from the slabs allows you to reach the final bastion of the cliff.
A marked path takes you back to the starting point in 20 minutes.

Just before the Col de Rousset tunnel (Die side), park and take the track on the left, access in 10 minutes.
