Step-by-step itinerary

1

From the parking lot of the Hotel Les Dryades, take the gravel path south. After about 200 m, leave it and head left (during the summer, a gate is located at this point; always close any gates you come across).

2

Follow the markers and the path towards the glacier (marker 1). Go back up on the right to the chaos (marker 2), pass in front of a scialet (natural well formed by the infiltration of water, be careful not to approach too closely, the well is 7 m deep). The hike continues in the middle of the pasture, small caves (marker 3) and small cliffs giving the appearance of ruins (marker 4).

3

From there, head left towards the cliff (marker 5), which you will follow to the crevasses (marker 6). Descend into this fault to enjoy the landscape framed by the cliff. Go back up and continue along the ridge.

4

Go through the gate (in summer) and turn slightly to the left as you leave the cliff. At the exit, at the highest point of the mountain pasture (marker 7), you will overlook the Gagères plateau. Cross the pasture, heading north. Go down to the scialet (marker 8).

5

Follow the drayes (traces left by the herds) while remaining in the heart of the limestone pavement (marker 9). At the bottom of the valley, continue towards the ski resort (marker 10).

6

At the exit from the pasture (gate in summer) take the road on the left to reach the parking lot.
