From the Font d'Urle station car park (alt. 1436m) , head towards the chalets following the signs for Chaud Clapier . North of the village, leave the paved road and take a path that descends into a valley to the Lapiaz ski lift (alt. 1378m).

Turn right and join the D76 at the level of the buildings of the Chaud Clapier station (alt. 1417m).

Go up the road to the right towards Prairie de la Chau . At the crossroads, continue on the road.

Leave the road after 150m and turn right onto a path parallel to the road, towards the Col de la Chau . The path soon leads to the Prairie de la Chau (alt. 1325m).

At the crossroads, turn right towards the Col de Font Payanne.

At the hairpin bend, continue on the track to the left. After the second hairpin bend, the track continues along a ridge ( viewpoints overlooking the Vassieux-en-Vercors valley; two rest areas offer scenic views of the surrounding area ). Reach the Gagères crossroads (1450m altitude) . 50m further on, a panoramic view opens onto the Quint valley and the Rochers de Pêteloup to the north.

Leave the track and take the GR93 to the right towards Pot de la Croix . In the forest, the incline increases and the path opens onto the grassy slopes of the Gagère plateau. From there, you can climb to the summit of Puy de la Gagère to enjoy a superb 360° panorama (10 minutes round trip) . Continue following the path across the grassy slopes to Pot de la Croix (1544m).

Continue across the plateau towards Font d'Urle.

Find the road and turn left to return to the starting point.
