Wednesdays on the Squares

Every Wednesday evening during the summer, in the various squares, courtyards and gardens of St Jean en Royans, concerts, dance, circus and open-air cinema take place one after the other in front of an ever-growing audience who come to watch these free shows!

Since the summer of 2009, the town of Saint-Jean-en-Royans has been hosting a summer cultural program of free outdoor shows. Every Wednesday evening during the summer, concerts, dance, circus performances, and open-air cinema are held in the various squares, courtyards, and gardens of Saint-Jean, before an ever-growing audience.

Why?
Culture allows for creation and therefore expression; it brings us together and challenges us; it provokes emotions, reflections, or surprises within us. We wanted to develop these rather special festive moments, where we forget our worries to listen, where we accept encounters and the unexpected, this summer in Saint-Jean. They also foster social bonds at a time when withdrawal threatens "living well together."
