Description

Experience life as a lavender grower in the 1930s. You'll harvest lavender in the fields, discover a traditional still in operation, and leave with your own bottle of essential oil, distilled right before your eyes. An activity for the whole family.

After a presentation of our work and an explanation of how the still works, we headed out to the fields, sickle in hand, for the first step: cutting the lavender flowers. Once bundled, we returned to the distillery where the preheated still awaited us, ready to deliver its precious essential oil. We toured the premises amidst antique stills restored by André, followed by an olfactory session to distinguish lavandin from lavender. All that remained was a short detour to the beautifully flowered fountain to taste our artisanal lavender syrup made with spring water from the Vercors mountains… And everyone left with their own small bottle of essential oil!
