The show "Curfew" by the company L'œil du Bourgeon

Blending theatre and puppetry, Couvre-feu is a show inspired by Françoise's childhood during World War II. A moving and joyful performance illustrating how imagination and creativity can become a powerful antidote to fear.

During a curfew, in the dim light of their apartment, we listen to his mother recount the exodus, the occupation, and her daily struggle to find food for her family. We also learn how, with a small puppet theater set up in their living room, his parents invented funny and poetic puppet stories to keep their lives beautiful and help their children through the darkest hours of our history.

This is what Françoise, 80 years later, would like to tell today's generations.
“We didn’t laugh much in our daily lives back then. But at our house, we laughed when the Guignol puppet show was on! It was the gift that my parents, Andrée and Francis, gave to the children and the neighbors, with the help of a small puppet theater, seemingly insignificant, yet full of life, humor, and light.”

A poetic staging that places this child of war who became a woman at the center of a family story necessary for a testimonial performance that tells the story of a living memory that must not die.
