Vincent Verzat has been filming environmental mobilizations for 10 years on the YouTube channel Partager c'est Sympa (Sharing is Nice). Starting with a personal and poignant narrative, the film retraces his journey between activism and naturalism, his search for a balance between struggle and contemplation, charting a path to living with dignity and facing what lies ahead. From the forestry struggles of the Millevaches plateau to the sett of a badger family, passing through the mega-reservoirs of Poitou, the deer of the Vercors mountains, and the A69 motorway, "The Living Being Who Defends Itself" connects wild animals with the struggles being waged throughout France against the destruction of their habitats. "The Living Being Who Defends Itself" charts a path to living with dignity and facing what lies ahead.
