From the Tourist Office to St Jean en Royans (alt. 252m) Go up behind the church and pass the cemetery. Follow the path that leads to the Case (alt. 250m).

Turn right onto a single track through the undergrowth. Follow a plantation to reach Abyss (alt. 255m).

Go up to the left and cross a road. Further on, take a sometimes chaotic path to the Low Massières (alt. 282m).

Continue straight on a path going up into the forest to reach a hairpin bend Sous-Frochet (alt. 365m).

Turn right, go up to them Massières (alt. 410m). Straight down to the Rimet (alt. 300m).

Take the path on the left. Pass the Lamberts (alt. 340m). Follow the path straight ahead which leads to Thuire. Go down to the D361.

Turn left. Further on, cross the D76 to take a path to La Walnut grove (alt.320m).

Straight ahead, pass the Orthodox chapel. A country path leads to a road. Turn left to join La Ferronière (alt. 310m).

Turn left to the village of St Martin the Colonel (alt. 327m). On the right go up to the Rats and La Freydière (alt. 358m).

Head straight into the gorge. A small forest path leads down to The Plaine Factory (alt. 308m).

Go up the road. Take the path on the right that crosses a pasture. At the houses, go down to La Rousse (alt. 290m).

Continue straight ahead. Paths and small roads lead to Boissieux (alt. 246m). Turn right to reach The footbridge (alt. 241m).

Turn left. Cross a bridge. Follow the canal, join Hermitage (alt. 228m). Follow the markings to reach the starting point.
