From the Tourist Office in St Jean en Royans (alt. 252m) go up behind the church, pass the cemetery. A path leads to Les Cas (alt. 250m).

Turn right onto a singletrack through the undergrowth. Follow alongside a plantation to reach Abisset (alt. 255m).

Go up to the left, cross a road. Further on, take a sometimes chaotic path to Basses Massières (alt. 282m).

Continue straight ahead up a path in the forest to reach a hairpin bend Sous-Frochet (alt. 365m).

Further on, take the path on the left descending to the Pont des Chartreux (alt. 261m) and go back up to the Arboretum (alt. 314m).

Continue to reach a fun path and follow a sometimes steep climb to the Saut (alt. 460m).

Turn left and take the GR9 on a path which becomes a trail to reach Torpedo (alt. 298m).

Take the right fork to descend to La Cascade Blanche (alt. 202m) or the variant avoiding the ford and join the Voie du Tram (alt. 230m).

Continue along the track until you reach Chemin des Tracols (alt. 252m).

Go up the left-hand path, sometimes technical, passing La Maison Brun (alt. 319m) to reach Les Gachetières (alt. 267m).

Turn left and join the D216. Follow it to the left then take the first right to cross the Cholet footbridge.

Go back up to reach the D54 and turn immediately right. At the second bend, turn slightly right to find the start of a path. Continue straight ahead to find St Jean en Royans. Return to the starting point.
