Achilles MartinonDescription
The visit to the Carmelite Convent continues outside, to the delight of the 5 senses, amidst the hundreds of flowers and plants of the medieval garden, and the fruit trees of the heritage orchard.
Established in 2009 at the request of the Community of Municipalities and by the Association "Les fruits retrouvés", this garden is inspired by medieval gardens often associated with abbeys or convents.
The set includes 3 distinct gardens:
- The simple garden (herbularius) built in a checkerboard pattern, houses aromatic and medicinal condiment plants
- The vegetable garden (horus) housing vegetables
- The orchard (viridarium) housing fruit tree plantations
An educational pond and apiaries complete this ecosystem.
Opening
From 01/01 to 31/12/2026 every day.
The herb garden and the heritage orchard are open to the public every day, all year round, even outside the opening hours of the Carmelite Convent Museum.
