Description
This stage of La Belle Via alternates between natural spaces and breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains before entering Grenoble, the capital of the Alps.
This stage of La Belle Via crosses the Montfort marsh, where dragonflies, butterflies, and orchids coexist in a bucolic bustle. The marsh then gives way to breathtaking views of the Belledonne, Chartreuse, and Vercors mountain ranges. You cycle into Grenoble, dominated by the Bastille fort and its iconic cable car. Known for hosting the 1968 Winter Olympics and for its flat terrain, this eminently cycling-friendly city, thanks to its impressive network of cycle paths, is ideal for exploring at a moderate pace.
