Description

After a visit to the old town of Annecy with its cobbled streets, winding canals and pastel-colored houses, head to the lake to set off on the next stage of this cycle route in the heart of the Alps.

La Belle Via follows the scenic Lake Annecy Greenway, which runs along the villages and beaches of its western shore. It follows the route of the old steam railway line to the Sources of Lake Annecy and the Bout du Lac Nature Reserve before heading towards Ugine and the Pays d'Albertville.

Delicate passage

After Ugine, alternate between greenways and sections on departmental roads until Albertville. Caution should be exercised at the Césarches bridge.
