Battle Pass Road

The Col de la Bataille, the southern gateway to the Vercors Drôme, offers breathtaking panoramas from its viewpoints overlooking the Bouvante Valley. Accessible by car in just 25 minutes or by bike in about 1 hours, this road is part of the Sublime Routes of the Vercors, and invites you to stop and admire the spectacular landscapes thanks to the viewpoints installed throughout the route. Known for having been crossed by cyclists in the Tour de France in 30 and 1987, this pass is steeped in a mysterious history. Some attribute its name to a medieval conflict between monasteries, others to religious clashes.
