From the "Grand Echaillon" car park (alt. 1162m), go along the hostel buildings on the right, follow the yellow and green markings of the GTV (Grande Traversée du Vercors) and go up to the left just before the start of the cross-country ski trails.

Reach the crossroads of the "Bergerie du Grand Echaillon" (alt. 1185m). From there, follow the GR93 marked in white and red straight ahead to the "Pas du Grand Echaillon" (alt. 1192m). Do not go down to the right into the forest with the GR but continue on the track to the viewpoint 50m further on.

At the "Pas du Grand Echaillon" (alt. 1192m), do not go down to the right into the forest with the GR but continue on the track to the lookout 50m further. After admiring the panorama, return to the Pas du Grand Echaillon, then to the Bergerie du Grand Echaillon.

Turn right, still following the white and red markings of the GR93 towards Pelouse de la Sausse.

When you arrive on the D199, leave the GR93 to take the road on the left (yellow and green markings) and find Le Grand Echaillon.
