From the Porte d'Herbouilly signpost (alt. 1280m) , opposite the cross-country ski center, turn left onto the snow-covered road. Reach the edge of the forest and find the start of the trail on the left.

Take the trail that winds between the trees. Follow the markings carefully to reach a small clearing.

Turn left and reach the Gardette viewpoint.

Continue along the track and watch for a small path branching off to the right in a hollow. Follow it, climb a little before descending to Pot du Loup (alt. 1300m).

Take the wide, marked track to the right. Further on, return to point 3 and follow the route taken on the outward journey to reach the starting point.
