Description

Hikers looking for secluded routes, let yourselves be surprised by the magnificent trails of the Drôme Vercors!

Located at the junction of the Drôme and Isère departments, the Vercors plateau stretches across a breathtaking array of landscapes. On this journey, we invite you to discover its historic and central section, in the south, in the heart of the Drôme mountains. This region of the Vercors is bordered to the north by the Bourne Gorges, a true natural gorge. Its southern boundary follows the ridges overlooking the Drôme Valley.

Follow the GR® de Pays trail, with a few "Arcanson-made" adaptations to help you make the most of its best features! It will lead you to discover a hidden gem of the Vercors region, which has preserved its unspoiled nature and the soul of its peaceful villages, their rhythm set by agricultural and rural life, far removed from mass tourism. You'll walk in the footsteps of Resistance fighters, charcoal burners, and merchants of yesteryear. Like them, you'll traverse magnificent, remarkable beech forests. You'll also appreciate the stunning plateaus clinging to limestone cliffs and the legendary gorges where the famous "vertigo roads" were built.
