Eco-citizenship and Resistance

A very practical and interactive approach for future citizens on the aspects of recycling, renewable energies, citizenship, the Resistance during the Second World War, cooperation and living together.

Recycling Day: visit to a sorting center and (en)games on sorting (SYTRAD)

Renewable Energy Day:
Discovery through experimentation with all kinds of energy, guided discovery walk through nature and the Mills of Vassieux: water mill and windmill. Meeting with a member of the Vassieux Heritage Association, subject to availability, slideshow of the Vercors in the evening to understand all the facets of the Vercors.

Resistance Day:
meeting with VercorSoleil (Photovoltaic Village Power Plants) or with the Vassieux Firefighters, guided tour of the Vassieux Resistance Museum, and guided tour of the village, the real life of the Resistance: the students put themselves in the shoes of the Maquisards, evening with the owner on the events of July 21, 44 at the Ferme du Pré; with the Mayor of Vassieux on the role of a local elected official and on the work of remembrance for a city Companion of the Liberation.

Cooperation Day:
Orienteering race, targeted "sporty", or "collaborative", land-art, where the important thing is not the rendering of the work but the path taken and the collaboration between the students.

“I am a citizen” day:
Time for synthesis and collective choices of operations to take back with you.

All trips can be done on foot, to have time to chat and discover nature.

Through the very practical aspect of the program, the meetings with community leaders, the free time granted and the richness of community life, each student has the opportunity to shine, to express themselves, to help each other, to progress and to better understand the challenges of the world in which they live.

Regular moments of synthesis and connection allow each student to forge and strengthen their ability to live as an involved citizen today and in the future.
