Cross the vineyard to the beautiful village of Châtillon en Diois, with its square and narrow streets, then continue to Les Nonnières (858m), the last village before the Col de Mené (1457m). Spectacular and narrow descent to the Col de Prayer (1197m), then the village of Chichilianne (1000m), facing Mont Aiguille.

Stage below the Grand Veymont, along the formidable eastern wall of the Vercors, by small quiet roads passing through the villages of St Andéol and Château Bernard, the Arzelier pass (1149m), then the hamlet of Prélenfrey, before descending into the Grenoble basin and reaching Claix (250m), via Vif and Varces.

Memorable climb and panoramic road to St Nizier du Moucherotte (1162m), then gentle descent to Lans en Vercors and final climb (4km) to the Col de la Croix Perrin (1218m), before the descent to Autrans (1000m).

D6 · Autrans - La Chapelle en Vercors · 33 to 60km
You'll leave Autrans, the northernmost village in the Vercors, to reach Méaudre, 5km further on. Then, for a few km, you'll find the beautiful Méaudret Gorges, which lead you to the spectacular Bourne Gorges, the main river in the Vercors. You'll pass through the villages of St Julien en Vercors, St Martin, and finally La Chapelle en Vercors, in the Central Vercors. A possible alternative is via the Col de Carri and the Lente Forest. In spring and autumn, the Bourne Gorges are sometimes closed for construction work; in this case, the stage is via Herbouilly.

D7 · La Chapelle en Vercors (910m) - Die (468m) · 40 to 60km
2 routes to reach the Col du Rousset, at 1254m
1/ Via Vassieux and its beautiful plain, then the St Alexis pass (1222m) which will allow you to reach the Rousset pass, the geographical and climatic limit of the Vercors plateaus by road.
2/ Via St Agnan en Vercors, the village of Rousset and the Vernaison valley, before reaching the Rousset pass.
You then switch to the Provençal climate; spruce and beech trees are replaced by pines and lavender! A long panoramic descent to Die, and the tour ends in this very pleasant little town with its terraces in the shade of lime trees.
