Description
CLOSING IN 2025.
We are delighted to welcome you to discover the completely redesigned Grotte de la Percée Blanche, located between La Chapelle-en-Vercors and Vassieux-en-Vercors. A guide will accompany you throughout the visit.
The Percée Blanche Cave is one of the oldest recorded caves in the Vercors region. Over 4 million years old, it is composed of stalactites, stalagmites, and columns thousands of years old. It has been renamed several times, and has been known as the Fleury Cave, then the Draye Blanche Cave.
Its discovery: The Cave was discovered by a renowned man in the Vercors region, Fabien Rey, nicknamed "Marseille." A trapper who knew the mountains like the back of his hand, he discovered the original chasm of the Cave after losing his favorite dog... This is how his adventure in the heart of the Cave began.
Today: A unique visitor attraction between La Chapelle-En-Vercors and Vassieux-En-Vercors, the cave will be renovated in 2024, transforming it into a visitor attraction as well as a bar/restaurant. Throughout the year, you can discover and rediscover it, with a variety of events.
