Cyril RoussetDuring the holidays, there are always 2 types of people: the hyperactive ones who want to run around everywhere, doing every possible activity in the shortest possible time, and those who want to RELAX! Enjoy, take time for yourself, relieve the pressure of work and that's why you chose to spend your holidays in the Vercors: to cut yourself off from this world that goes at 100 miles an hour. So here is a suggestion for a pampering day on the Vercors Plateau to set off in search of absolute zenitude!
Step 1: Wake up gently
We begin our relaxing journey with a nice cup of tea (or coffee for caffeine addicts) at the Café des Espelines in Vassieux-en-Vercors. A bookstore, tea room, and even a wine cellar (well, it's a bit early!), it's a real hidden gem in the heart of the village. Enjoy a nice cup of tea by the fire, with a book on your knees, and don't hesitate to ask Cyril for advice; he'll be delighted to show you around his shop!
Les Espelines regularly organizes concerts, book signings and other cultural events, remember to check out their program.
Cyril RoussetStep 2: Align our chakras with Yoga
After a nice cup of tea and a few minutes of walking, it's time for a holistic appointment at the Maison du Yoga with Marjorie. On the agenda: a sound bath with Tibetan bowls and gongs to get you in the mood, and a Yoga Nidra session for deep relaxation. You'll emerge more zen than ever!
From classes to thematic workshops and spiritual retreats, the Maison du Yoga offers a wide range of services tailored to your needs. Contact Yoga Mandir to find the practice best suited to you. Namasté!
Step 3: Restore your strength
After feeding your mind, it's time to feed your stomach! Head to Saint-Julien-en-Vercors to sample the local cuisine at Café Brochier. Enjoy the true taste of Vercors in a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Fresh, local produce, sophisticated and refined cuisine, and surprising dishes bursting with flavor—it's no wonder they were voted the best restaurant by Fooding!
On the other hand, when you go there, there is a tax: it's a minimum of 1 scratch per person for Merlot and Laska! It's the price to pay but it's worth it...
Step 4: Digestive Shopping
To digest this delicious meal, there's nothing better than a little shopping! Head to Saint-Martin-en-Vercors. This small village exudes joy and culture. Among potters, ceramists, and artisans, you can stroll through the village and enjoy a short digestive walk. Take the opportunity to stop by the Atelier de la Source. This artisanal soap factory offers a tour of the soap factory. The soaps and balms are made from natural products and can be taken anywhere! Ideal for hikers!
