Description

Alternating between undergrowth and groomed trails, this route reveals the small hamlet of Font d'Urle, nestled in the folds of the Serre Montué. An excellent way for young and old alike to experience the joys of snowshoeing in complete safety.

Step-by-step itinerary

1

From the pole Hot Hutch (alt. 1417m), enter the ski area through the passage between the ticket office and the restaurant. Below the restaurant, head towards the kindergarten and find the specific snowshoe markings.

2

Take the marked route which goes into the undergrowth.

3

A little further on, it passes close to the road and then returns to the Chaud Clapier valley. Join the Lapiaz ski lift (alt. 1378m).

4

The trail then climbs up above a ski slope which it eventually crosses to overlook, after a gentle climb, the chalets of Font d'Urle (possibility of making a return trip to the hamlet).

5

Continue the route along a wide, well-marked track. After passing near the arrival of the Chaud Clapier ski lift and then the Parking / Lutins split ski lift, return to the Chaud Clapier resort.
