Description

Step-by-step itinerary

From the Porte d'Herbouilly signpost (alt. 1280m) , in the parking lot, head straight ahead on the snow-covered D221. Follow the edge of the forest alongside the cross-country ski trail.

Turn left onto the snowshoe trail that winds through the trees. Follow the trail markers to quickly reach a small clearing. Turn left toward the west and reach the Gardette viewpoint.

Continue along the track and watch for a small path branching off to the right in a hollow. Follow it, climb a little before descending to Pot du Loup (alt. 1300m).

At the intersection of the cross-country ski trails, continue straight ahead on the white path.

Turn right into the woods to begin a steep climb. Follow the path along the edge of the woods, then descend and rejoin the cross-country ski trail. Cross it, following the snowshoe markers between the trees to reach the area behind the Roybon inn (1300m altitude) . Go around it to the left to reach the snow-covered road and turn right.

After the hostel, at the fork, go down to the left. Quickly reach the reception building and then the parking lot.
