Access to the starting point from the bottom of the resort by taking the chairlift (walking pass included in the price). From the top of the chairlift (alt. 1500m) , quickly leave the alpine ski slopes to the right, going uphill slightly towards the picnic tables and then the Collet de Sapiau.

Once you reach the Collet de Sapiau (1510m altitude), enjoy the magnificent panorama by following the ridges (be careful not to walk on the snow cornices, risk of falling). Continue up to the But de Sapiau.

Then, the route follows the ridge line for a few dozen meters before plunging to the left (at a post) to reach and cross a good part of the Bois Rond.

In this one, the route goes to the right then crosses meadows to reach the chairlift, passing to the left of the snow barriers.
