From the parking lot of the Grand Echaillon (alt. 1162m), go along the hostel buildings to the right to reach the Good Deals snowshoeing start sign. Cross the small wood to the entrance to the lawn and follow the purple markers leading north.

Go around the sheepfold on the right and follow the snowshoe markers.

100m after the edge of the woods, take the snowshoe trail perpendicular to the right which climbs steeply.

At the top of the climb, take the path on the left into the woods.

Head back down into the forest towards the antenna, then turn left to join the cross-country ski trails. Stay on the right-hand side of these trails, then leave them along the barbed wire fence.

Join the ski slope at Lawn of the Sausse (alt. 1330m). Follow it on the left.

Just before the tunnel, dive left into the spruce forest.

Join a forest track from Gampaloux and follow it to the right until Lion Pass (alt. 1191m).

Cross the road and then head downhill into the forest. Continue through a spruce forest and then return to the groomed trail that leads back to the Inn.
