Vercors Nature Base - Ecohuts - Tipis - Gite

The Nature Base is an association whose objective is to enable everyone to live in the heart of nature, to understand it and protect it.

Located 3 km from Vassieux en Vercors, the original and friendly accommodation, tipis, eco-constructions and gîtes can accommodate small families as well as large groups.

We've been offering outdoor hospitality for over 30 years, with teepees, eco-huts, and cottages. Catering is available, with thoughtful meals made primarily from local, organic produce, wild plants, and superb produce from our neighbors.

The Nature Base is:
- 4 eco-huts (all year round): circular, original eco-constructions, made from natural materials to create a cozy nest (3/6 people).
- 4 teepees (from spring).
- 1 family gîte for 4/5 people (all year round).
- 3 sanitary blocks (including 1 heated in winter).
- 1 marquee: place of activities, classroom, catering, shows… from mid-May to mid-September)

Passionate about nature, culture and respectful of the environment, the staff at the Nature Base will be happy to welcome all tribes: small or large, and to meet your expectations!

Base Nature allows leisure centers, schools, associations, institutions, to host stays that will be approved by the DDCS and National Education
Original and friendly, this place made up of different accommodations is also ideal for your family celebrations, cousin reunions, sports gatherings, etc.
With a total capacity of around fifty people in summer and around a dozen people in winter.
The Base staff is happy to help you build your most authentic educational project to meet your expectations. The themes often covered are "humans in the great outdoors" (prehistory museum two kilometers away), "the biosphere," "transition," "the Resistance," and all outdoor sports.
The company "La Malle aux libertés" also performs at Base Nature Vercors, and you will be surprised by its informative shows.…
Your students will also be able to create a radio show on different themes with the help of our presenters, broadcast on the airwaves.

The cultural aspect of the association is very important, with the open-air theater, the various programs of shows, and the Sentier des Saisons: A sound and visual art gallery, outdoors from May to the end of September, around Base Nature Vercors, on a 1,5 km route, 25 works by 5 photographers highlighted by original sound capsules. Equipped with bone conduction headphones, loaned by Base Nature Vercors, allows this trail to be realized for both visual and sound immersion. Building on this success, we are preparing a new stage: for the winter of 2025 - 2026, in the same form of visual and sound stories, double sens will highlight four local adventurers passionate about nature and outdoor life through their stories and photographs of magnificent landscapes and share their attachment to the Vercors.
