The Echarasson tour

From the spectacular Combe Laval road, set off to discover the Écharasson Mountain, a route that reveals the full diversity of the Vercors forest landscapes. The adventure begins at one of the most iconic sites in the Vercors: the Combe Laval road. Carved into the cliffside at the end of the 19th century to facilitate the harvesting and transport of timber from the Lente forest, this spectacular road winds through the heart of a vast rocky cirque. With its tunnels carved into the rock, its ledge-like passages, and its breathtaking viewpoints overlooking the Royans region, it is now considered one of the most beautiful scenic drives in France.
