Vercors discovery by electric mountain bike

The Vercors des 4 Montagnes: a vibrant, inhabited natural space with a bountiful natural environment, perched between Drôme and Isère. It is home to the largest Regional Natural Park in France, and one of the oldest as well.

Grand Angle invites you to explore the Vercors des 4 Montagnes region on an electrically assisted mountain bike (E-MTB). With an altitude of between 1000 and 1400m, a pleasant climate, and a variety of flora and fauna, you'll appreciate the flexibility of an E-MTB and the sense of freedom this touring trip will bring you.
And for the more athletic, nothing stops you from choosing the VTC / VTT formula, or mixing the two and thus going with friends who might not necessarily have the same level.

D1 • Lans en Vercors
Arrival in Lans-en-Vercors. Check-in at the hotel. Getting to grips with your electric mountain bike. You can enjoy an easy first route on the Via Vercors to get to grips with your electric mountain bike. Between 10 and 20 km. Dinner and overnight stay at a 2-star hotel in Lans-en-Vercors, with a swimming pool.

D2 • Lans en Vercors – St Nizier du Moucherotte
The secure Via Vercors route takes you to the small village of St Nizier du Moucherotte, a veritable balcony overlooking the Alps. Stroll across the St Nizier plateau where you can discover the necropolis of the Resistance. Return via the Via Vercors or the forest path of the Bois des Mûres, passing an "Olympic vestige": the St Nizier ski jump. Depending on your time and interests, you can also stop at one of the many farms in the area.

D3 • Lans en Vercors - Corrençon
You can choose to reach Villard de Lans via the Via Vercors, which follows the old tram line leading up from Grenoble, or you can climb to the Allières plateau to enjoy the panoramic view of the valley and the Gerbier ridges while exploring the beautiful, hilly, and fun cross-country ski trails. Stop in Villard de Lans, the largest village on the Plateau, then continue towards the charming little village of Corrençon, at the gateway to the Hauts Plateaux du Vercors Nature Reserve. Between 30 and 50 km. Dinner and overnight stay in a 3-star hotel in Corrençon, with a swimming pool.

D4 • Loop around Corrençon A superb loop, which will allow you to discover the exceptional nature of the Vercors: the plateau of Château Julien, the high meadow of Herbouilly, the small village of Valchevrière, destroyed during the war and whose site is poignantly beautiful, and finally Bois Barbu, which offers you a beautiful panorama of the Central Vercors and its cliffs. Return to Corrençon via the small Liorin pass. Between 30 and 50km. Dinner and overnight stay in a 3* hotel in Corrençon, with swimming pool.

D5 • Corrençon – Autrans
Via Bois Barbu, you'll reach the Bourne Gorges, before taking the small Méaudret Gorges, a haven of freshness, carved into the limestone. They lead to the charming rural village of Méaudre, and the Via Vercors. In Méaudre, you can visit, at any time, the Colibris farm, which will delight you with its organic meat, pâtés, and sausages (self-guided tour of the farm). Continue to Autrans, the cradle of cross-country skiing in France.
Alternative Route: A self-guided loop through the Autrans-Méaudre mountain bike area; you can adjust the difficulty to suit your needs. We recommend exploring the Gève plateau, an iconic cross-country skiing destination, above the village, where most of the trails are also marked as mountain bike trails.

D6 • Autrans – Lans en Vercors
One of the most beautiful e-MTB routes possible on the Vercors plateau, with 600 m of elevation gain on paths, small roads, and forest tracks, which lead you to the high-altitude mountain pasture of La Molière. From there, no fewer than 7 mountain ranges are on display, including Mont Blanc. A break is available at the Robertière refuge. Then, a descent to the village of Lans en Vercors: you have the choice between the technical or the easy, in any case fun and panoramic. Between 35 and 50 km.
